Must-watch interviews with Jeff Rubin and Julian Robertson
My respect for CNBC actually gained a few notches this week (raising it from “abysmal tripe” to “almost tolerable”) for two must-watch interviews.
The first was with former CIBC economist Jeff Rubin, author of the new book Why Your World Is About to Get a Whole Lot Smaller: Oil and the End of Globalization, who offered some straight talk on the implications of peak oil–namely the end of globalization:
The second was with billionaire Julian Robertson, who offered some observations on the true state of the U.S. economy, the ultimate effects of the Fed’s actions, and warned about what would happen if Japan and China stopped buying our bonds:
